Which Paintings Are Paintings?
The National Paintings Museum in Nashville is offering its collection of thousands of paintings for sale, but it will only accept cash donations, including from those who paid $50 or more for a painting.
The museum’s website says the proceeds will go to charity and the proceeds from the sale of the paintings will be donated to museums across the country.
The auction, which runs from Wednesday to Saturday, has been called the most sought-after painting sale in the country by CNNMoney.
The painting, known as The Great Depression, was painted by American artist Jackson Pollock in 1933.
Pollock’s paintings are among the most valuable paintings in the world.
The auction is also selling paintings by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Alexander Calder, Damien Hirst, Damien Nolle, and Henri Matisse.
